Overview
This mural was commissioned for Punch Bowl Social’s second entrance at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center plaza as part of the brand’s reimagined identity. The goal was to turn a secondary entry point into a bold, welcoming visual statement.
The Challenge
-
Enhancing visibility for a less prominent entrance
-
Translating a refreshed brand system into a large-scale mural
-
Creating impact in a high-traffic, entertainment-driven environment
The Approach
Working with the newly developed brand elements, I designed a mural that merges bold graphics with recognizable Punch Bowl Social motifs. The composition was built for scale, movement, and energy—designed to feel immersive rather than decorative. The piece was hand-painted in acrylic to maintain vibrancy and character at full size.
Outcome
The mural transformed the second entrance into a clear visual destination, reinforcing the brand presence while creating a lively, engaging experience that draws people in before they even step inside.

Overview
This mural was created as part of a mural festival, where I was invited to paint with
other 39 artists at an elementary school with the goal of inspiring and engaging students through illustration and large-scale art.
The Challenge
-
Working within a short timeline
-
Creating imagery that felt accessible and inspiring to children
-
Representing diversity and inclusion in an authentic, uplifting way
The Approach
Using photographic references treated with a semi-threshold effect, I developed a high-contrast visual narrative that felt bold and easy to read at scale. The composition intentionally features children from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing representation, optimism, and a forward-looking sense of possibility.
